Shannon Burton has been an avid fitness enthusiast since the 7th grade. As an almost 6ft tall middle school girl, she played every sport under the sun from volleyball, to track, to softball, to basketball, ultimately earning a women’s collegiate basketball scholarship to Duke University upon high school graduation. She moved to Louisville in 1995, and became an NFPT certified in home personal fitness trainer for the next 5 years before being blessed with her two daughters, Hannah and Hailey. She took a break from the training world for a bit, deciding to be a stay at home mom until her girls were old enough to attend school full time. During her break, Shannon pursued other dreams…signing with a regional modeling agency, running for Mrs. Kentucky, and starting a foundation at Norton’s Children’s Hospital in memory of her son Riley.
Shannon is a life long believer of an equal combination of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, proper stretching, and nutrition. She strongly stresses the “healthy mind, healthy body” philosophy of life, knowing that the two most definitely go hand in hand.
As a mother of two daughters, she believes in leading by example and teaching them that beauty is truly only skin deep. That every single one of us is built differently, but we are all created with our OWN purpose and our OWN individual gifts. She will be dedicated to helping people truly BELIEVE in themselves. To tap into their strengths and eliminate their weaknesses. She truly inspires to show others how to get excited about their lives, gain strength mentally and physically, and live WELL in body, mind and spirit.
Shannon, her husband Bart, 13 year old daughter Hailey and 14 ½ year old daughter Hannah live in Middletown with their Newfoundland Lilah Bear and their Golden Retriever Skylar.
She can’t wait to meet you!
